Full Description: Volunteer Opportunity: Luncheon Club Food Preparation and Cooking
Are you passionate about cooking and helping your community? We are seeking dedicated volunteers to join our Luncheon Club Food Preparation and Cook team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others while sharing your skills.
About Us:
Our organisation supports the elderly who are lonely and isolated and our luncheon cub is dedicated to providing nutritious meals and a friendly, welcoming environment for older people. The Luncheon Club is a vital part of our mission, and we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us meet the increasing demand.
Role Description:
As a Luncheon Club Volunteer we ask for:
Preparing and cooking nutritious traditional meals for our Luncheon Club attendees.
Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure that the kitchen and food preparation areas are kept clean, sanitized, and in compliance with health and safety standards (full support and training).
Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with our dedicated team of volunteers to ensure smooth meal service and an enjoyable experience for our guests.
Engage with Guests: Interact with Luncheon Club attendees in a friendly and respectful manner, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Requirements:
A passion for cooking and an interest in helping others.
Basic food preparation and cooking and knowledge of food safety and hygiene (training provided).
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Availability during Luncheon Club hours (Thursdays, 9.30-12.00).
