Full Description: To work closely with other colleagues in the team and support the implementation of the programme to young adults with additional needs. Support them to develop the life skills they need to make the transition into adulthood so they are able to live as independently as possible.
Duties may include supporting the young adults in the kitchen, out shopping, with road safety and during activities such as sports, walks, craft and offsite trips.
A good volunteer for Sapphire would be able to communicate effectively, have a calm and patient demeanour and show initiative.
Being able to drive and having access to a vehicle is essential.
Training will be offered to ensure the Sapphire ethos is understood and essential courses will provided, eg
Safeguarding
Prevent
Food Hygiene
Manual Handling
Fire Safety
We are open 4 days a week and we need one volunteer each day
