Organisation Description: Connecting Community, Celebrating Heritage
The LRA was formed in 1974 to represent the residents within Ladybridge. The organisation currently manages the community centre and run activities and events throughout the year. The centre was self funded and built by the residents.
The LRA are a group of volunteers elected by the residents.
The objectives of the LRA:
To further or benefit the residents of Ladybridge and neighbouring areas, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents.
