Organisation Description: Horwich Visiting service is a well established and respected local Voluntary Befriending Service which serves the Community of Horwich.
There are many people living in the Horwich area, who may feel lonely or isolated, and who would benefit from a little extra companionship and friendship each week. Horwich visiting service provides a team of carefully chosen and dedicated Volunteer Befriender’s, who go out and visit the mainly older people of Horwich for about 1-2 hours each week in their own homes, to sit and have a chat with them and to provide that much needed “face to face” contact.
