Organisation Description: Get up, keep going is a community interest company that believes staying active is an essential part of keeping people well, mentally and physically, bringing together communities to enjoy the outdoors and staying connected to others.
This company works with local people of all ages, to talk, walk and cycle, learning about mind body and breathing techniques to help people find a sense of self whilst enjoying the natural world that we live in.
We also grow our own produce, which provides participants with an opportunity to connect with the earth, which also provides lunches for retreat days and weekend events. Through this we teach others how to make and enjoy healthy food in a fun, safe but informative environment.
Working with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds, Get up, keep going shares knowledge and develops understanding of the relation between our own Mind, Body and breathing, and the importance of the right nutrition which in turn influences our relationship with the environment and others around us.
This is achieved by:
• Yoga sessions
• Walks and talks in nature which provide the nutritional information and the environment around them.
• Retreat days and weekends encompassing, Yoga, walking, mindfulness and nutrition.
