Organisation Description: We are now named Friends of Harwood & Longsight Park.
Our constitution exists to improve green space in Longsight Park and adjacent areas including Harwood Centre to enable enjoyment, mobility and health improvement opportunities for all, including those with disabilities. We also try to rebalance the effects of people and UK mammals and flora so they can co-exist eg by planting, good footpath provision etc.
We have 5 consecutive community Green Flag Awards as at 2024
We cover Bradshaw & Harwood but our areas are also used by anyone but mainly those in Tonge and Breightmet
